(Noct's heart about drops to his gut. I'm with you, remember? It's enough to bring a sting to his eyes, a threat of tears pushes at them and he looks away before he pulls Prompto back in for an embrace. I'm so sorry.. But he doesn't want to think about it now, he doesn't want to admit to anything, spill his guts, or focus on all the fucked up shit he did behind Prompto's back. Not when bombs are going off, not when it's all too convenient to hide his deceit behind the chaos of what's happening in the here and now.
Even now, Noctis is worthless of Prompto's devotion.) Please..
(He's not above begging his friend.) Just go. (He pulls back and gives Prompto a small nod. He can't think of anyone more important than Prompto - so he can't be alright with Prompto risking his life for anyone else.)
[ The hug isn't entirely unexpected, but in that same train of thought, it is. Prompto doesn't feel like he's been a terribly great friend to Noct since he'd gotten here, unsure how to handle his own feelings and wanting to be close to him with that in the mix. It's a conflicting sensation, hating how this place has changed them both, how he'd been different before he'd even gotten here, and he shakes his head, trying to nudge some sense into him without even speaking. At least at first. ]
Noct — [ Does he think he wouldn't be good for anything? What if people need their help? He can still do something; he's not completely helpless here. And even though he knows it's impossible, he doesn't let go of him, brushing his knuckles against the edge of his cheek. ] Somebody's gotta watch your back. We'll be careful.
(Noct wants Prompto by his side, so.. it doesn't take him much convincing in order for him to see the "logic" behind it. It's because he wants Prompto beside him that he figures if anything did happen he could just warp them out of there and they'll be alright. He pulls back and gives Prompto a nod. He takes another look at the hotel.)
Okay, so.. lets warp up to where the bomb just hit, we can warp down survivors .. I.. I don't know, is that good? (Ignis was always the sound of mind, but Prompto was definitely the best Noctis had - his own mind, plans, thoughts, and ideas were not the best planed out so he's glad to have Prompto's clever mind with him. Noctis settles his hand in Prompto's. He was feeling better already.
Despite the chaos before him, the selfish part of him outweighed the despair before them both.)

[ Try and convince him otherwise. ]
