I know of someone it manifested in as a child, and another as a young adult, but Nero is the oldest manifestation I have seen.

The 'why' is easy, admittedly. During times of strong emotion, they can manifest. Betrayal, grief, love - all can easily cause it.

He will be okay. He will have to learn to control it, but he will ultimately be fine.
